Skiing in Les Trois Vallées, France!

Les Trois Vallées, located in the French Alps, is the world’s largest ski area. Connected by ski lifts and ski slopes it offers a complete range of ski experiences for novices and accomplished skiers and snowboarders.

Situated in the Tarentaise Valley, to the south of the town of Moûtiers and bordering the Vanoise National Park, the area includes famous ski resort including Meribel, Courcheval, and Val Thorens.

With over 600 km of ski slopes and over 180 ski lifts, the range transports over 250,000 people every hour, even professionals could spend a couple of weeks here and never run the same slope twice.

For the more adventurous out there, hire a guide to go off-piste with over 120 km of runs for cross country skiers looking forward to an extra challenge.

There are numerous places to stay in the well-known towns as well in the smaller, quieter resort of Les Menuires. Whether basic, self catering, chalet or hotel there is an option to suit every budget.

For fun and confidence building for both kids and adults, the BK Park offers a gentle introduction to bumps and jumps, and the Walibi Glass Zone features a gentle slalom and a musical zone.

Sledge the twists and turns of the Roc’n Bob run, try the toboggan on rails at Speed Mountain, where you can control the speed to suit your ability.

There are plenty of blue runs and red runs, with the ever popular Jerusalem red run. Glühwein or chocolat chaud is readily available to warm your insides after swooshing your way to the pretty village of Saint Martin de Belleville.

For something completely different, or for those wanting to take things slower, enjoy the natural beauty of the area and then try a snowshoeing tour.
